Introducing your Harker DECA Chapter Advisor, Mr. Glass! Hard-working, positive, and caring, Juston Glass is the Director of the Business and Entrepreneurship Department at Harker. Aside from DECA, he is also the advisor for TEDx, CareerConnect, Investment Club, Podcast Series, BEcon, and Harker Incubator. His favorite part about DECA is seeing students who have previously not won work hard and continue to practice, ultimately winning both events at the next conference.

Introducing our 2024-2025 CEO, Sanaa
Bhorkar! Sanaa is a rising senior who enjoys programming, tap dancing, and building Legos. Her favorite part of DECA is competing and eating Cane's. This year she's looking forward to participating in a summer research internship, enjoying senior year with her friends, and making her final high school memories. A fun fact about Sanaa isthat she's been tap dancing for 14 years!

Vice President, Maya Affaki! Maya is a rising senior who enjoys puzzles, dance, and reading. Her favoritepart of DECA is meeting new people at conferences in the sitting area right before roleplay prep (she's an anxious yapper). This year she's looking forward to second semester senior year so that she can bake as much as she wants. A fun fact about Maya is that she watches an unhealthy amount of video essays to
the point that she has stopped listening to music and just listens to them as podcasts!

Introducing our 2024-2025 VP of Operations, Tanvi Sivakumar! Tanvi is a rising junior who enjoys baking, painting with watercolor, and listening to music. Her favorite part of DECA is going out with friends at conferences. This year she’s looking forward to doing a research program in Santa Cruz and going to Olivia Rodrigo concert in August. A fun fact about Tanvi is she loves ice!

Competitions and Strategy, Amishi Gupta! Amishi is a rising junior who enjoys economics, badminton, calligraphy, and eating ice cream. Her favorite parts of DECA are conferences and mentoring during study sessions. This year she's looking forward to getting her driver's license (hopefully). A fun fact about Amishi is that every summer when she was a kid, she and her friend used to sell lemonade and Pokemon cards in their neighborhood!

Introducing our 2024-2025 VP of Public Relations, Lauren Lin! Lauren is a rising senior who enjoys eating. Her favorite DECA memory is eating at Terry’s Black Barbecue during Power Trip 2023. This year she’s looking forward to her senior year and watching Suits. A fun fact about Lauren is she is no longer a ginger!

Introducing our 2024-2025 VP of Finance, Vedant Balachandran! Vedant is a rising senior who enjoys cooking, watching TV shows/movies, and doing tech theater. His favorite part of DECA is making props during roleplays. This year he’s looking forward to his internships and Despicable Me 4. A fun fact about Vedant is he has watched Big Bang Theory “too many times”!

people at conferences. This year she's looking forward to watching movies, sleeping, and going to the beach. A fun fact about Aanya is that in elementary school, she used to make origami videos with her little brother on her Youtube channel!

Testing, Abigail Sachse! Abigail is a rising sophomore who enjoys weightlifting, visual arts, TEDxHarkerSchool, and LIFE Board. Her favorite part of DECA is challenging her creativity in competitions, confidence in new social settings, and taste buds at
Disney. This year she's looking forward to taking a product design class and connecting with her mentees. A fun fact about Abigail is that she always runs into Harker teachers (i.e. Mr. Yager, Mr. Barth, Ms. Pazirandeh) at the gym!
